Updating your WIFI credentials on the new Fortress Power Guardian App.

Before you begin:

1.)    Have your WIFI username and password available.

2.)    Download the NEW Fortress Power Owner App.

3.)    Make sure your contact information is connected to your account.  If you cannot login, make a service ticket at Fortress Power Support | Get Help with Your Energy System or contact our support team at 877-497-6937.  When calling, make sure you have your Guardian Serial Number ready.

4.)    Make sure you are standing near the device.

App Steps:

1.)    After logging into the Owner app, click on the cog at the bottom:

2.)    The settings page will load and click the local tab, then press connect.

3.)    Choose the guardian number that pops up on the screen.  If you do not see the device number, make sure you are standing close to the device.  Look and see if the device has power. 

4.)    Once you click, you will see bouncing dots and it will say “Device connection in progress”.  This can take up to a minute to connect.

5.)    Choose which device you are trying to connect from the list on the screen.

6.)    Follow the instructions to get a security token.  Press the button for two seconds and let go.

7.)    A confirmation will show up at the top of the screen.  Then click on Network Settings.

8.)    You will see if you are connected to a network and then searching network will pop up.

9.)    A search will spin looking for networks.  If your network does not show up, search again.  The guardian needs a strong signal and depending on the location of the system, it may require a wifi extender near the system.

10.)                             Click on the network you would like to connect to.

11.)                             Type the password for your network.

12.)                             A Green Check will show up when it connects.

13.)                             Success!  You did it.  Be proud of yourself.
